England's Preparations for the 2026 World Cup
England’s national team has carefully selected Kansas City as their base for the upcoming World Cup. While the Three Lions won’t play any of their group matches in the city, the central location makes it an ideal hub for their training sessions and logistical needs. The team’s first match in the competition will be against Croatia in Dallas on June 17, followed by games against Ghana in Boston and Panama in New York later in the month.
During their time in Kansas City, England will train at the Swope Soccer Village, a state-of-the-art facility that has been used by various national and club teams. Argentina, also based in Kansas City, will utilize the main Sporting Kansas City facilities. The English team will also take part in two pre-tournament friendlies in Florida, playing against New Zealand and Costa Rica in early June.
